Kevin Izzi

Kevin Izzi

Kevin Izzi is the founder and a current member of the "Patriot Fishing Team" in Cincinnati, Ohio. The organization was set up to allow avid anglers like himself the opportunity to fish local team tournaments that they would otherwise not have the means to attend. He has a long heritage in angling. He first had a rod in his hand at age 4 with his Grandfather on the docks of Lake Erie in Ashtabula Harbor. After his family relocated to So. Florida in the early 1970's his father became a professional Captain and Angler running charters on the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. He had big shoes to fill as his father won many Sailfish and Marlin tournaments over the years. The reality however is that Kevin found his love for the sport inland on places like Lake Okeechobee, The Everglades, Harris Chain and many other Florida, Georgia, and Alabama freshwater lakes and waterways. He fished many team tournaments in his early years but it wasn't until he met Rolan Martin at a tournament at Lake Okeechobee that he was “hooked” for life. After many years away from the sport he is back on the tournament trail.

His favorite part of fishing is sharing his knowledge with his son Nick who at 11 yearss old is currently fishing beside his father on the Fishers of Men tournament trail.

Kevin's largest bass to date: 12.75lb Largemouth
