| Q What exactly is Natural
Ice?
A Natural Ice is a flexible ice
sheet made from pure Wisconsin water and sealed
tight in durable reinforced plastic.
Q Exactly how is Natural Ice
superior to other cooling products?
A Natural Ice out performs both
chemical gel packs and ordinary ice, but for
different reasons.
Natural Ice is superior
to chemical gel packs because the best cooling
agent on the planet is pure water. Independent
testing laboratories have shown that pound for
pound the pure water in Natural Ice cools 2-times
longer than chemical gel packs.
Unlike ordinary ice, Natural
Ice will not melt away and create a soggy mess.
Ordinary ice melts. And, the bag it comes in often
leaks - creating a puddle of water that can spoil
your cooler contents. You cannot safely put dry
goods in the cooler without wrapping, or putting
them into containers that will keep them dry. With
Natural ice you can pack everything into the
cooler (including paper products) without worrying
about water damage. What's more, Natural ice is
resuable and convenient so you always have it
available when you need it.
Q Natural Ice is such a
simple idea, why hasn't it been done
before?
A Simple ideas are not always
simple to produce. Natural Ice has perfected the
technology and the process to seal water tightly
in a durable flexible sheet.
Q Why is Natural Ice
considered environmentally friendly and safe
around kids and pets?
A Natural Ice is made with pure
water which is safe around kids and pets. With
Natural Ice, there are no chemicals or
questionable contents like with some ice packs. If
Natural Ice should get punctured and leak, it will
not contaminate any surrounding contents or pose
any risk to children or pets. Obviously, the
durable plastic needs to be treated with care and
Natural Ice should not be used as a toy.
Q What if Natural Ice is
damaged - does it need to be thrown
away?
A If any cube cavities are
punctured, the remaining ice sheet will function
normally, diminished only by the effectiveness of
the lost cube(s).
Q How much Natural Ice is
needed for a large cooler?
A A general rule of thumb is to
use 4-6 lbs. of Natural Ice to cool a large, 48
qt. cooler. Use Natural Ice in the same
approximate proportions as you would ordinary ice.
Q Can I customize sheets of
Natural Ice?
A Yes, Natural Ice has wide
channels between the formed ice cubes that allow
for easy trimming with either ordinary household
scissors or the special Natural Ice trimming tool.
Depending on your need, you can trim sheets of
Natural Ice into smaller sheets, strips or even
individual cubes. Also, the back side of Natural
Ice sheet is a flat surface, perfect for attaching
velcro and custom fitting into coolers.
Q You have mentioned cold
therapy for muscles & joints, minor bruises
and headaches including migraines - what is cold
therapy?
A Also referred to as
Cryotherapy, it is generally believed that cold
therapy is helpful in treating some sports-related
injuries, minor bruises, strains and sprains.
Cold therapy is also beneficial in helping to
soothe the pain of headaches including migraines.
Flexible ice sheets are ideal for cold therapy applications
because they easily conform to the shape of the body and
therefore cool more effectively. Additionally, the ice
sheets do not melt down and create a water mess while in use.
Q Can I wash Natural Ice in
a dishwasher?
A Whereas, the use of an
automatic dishwasher to clean Natural Ice is not
recommended, you can use a dishwasher if you take
care to keep the flexible ice sheet(s) away from
the appliance's heating element(s) and place the
sheet(s) so it cannot fall thru any large
opening(s) in the washer rack. Caution is
advised.
Q Is there a special way to
freeze or store Natural Ice?
A Natural Ice can be rolled,
folded or stored flat depending on the available
space in your freezer. However, if you need a
quick freeze, you will get the best results if you
can lay the sheet flat.
Q Why is flexibility
important when Natural Ice is frozen?
A Because Natural Ice is still
flexible when completely frozen, it can easily
conform to the contents of a cooler and wrap
around corners to effectively line the cooler with
a wall of cold ice. This allows Natural Ice to
take up less space and cool more uniformly than
rigid, chemical gel packs.
Q Why does Natural Ice cool
more uniformly than chemical gel packs?
A Remember! Hot air rises and
cold air falls. Natural Ice can be used to
completely cover the contents of a cooler with a
blanket of ice - creating a uniform "cold zone"
throughout the cooler - keeping contents cold and
dry.
